Alpha Centauri Kid brings Argonauts fully onchain

Digital artist Alpha Centauri Kid, known as a.c.k., released Argonauts, a collection of onchain digital pieces on Ethereum. The collection pulls together the range of an artist whose work has moved between glitch art, surreal imagery, music, and personal storytelling into a single connected body of work rather than standalone pieces.

What sets Argonauts apart is that the artwork is stored fully onchain. Rather than pointing to media hosted on an external server, each piece lives within Ethereum itself, so it stays accessible for as long as the network runs. That approach treats the blockchain as part of the work rather than only a record of who owns it, and it drops the reliance on outside hosting that some collections still depend on.

a.c.k. is a multidisciplinary artist working across animation, music, glitch art, and surrealism, with recurring imagery of skulls and pianos and scenes shaped by memory and emotion. He has described the throughline in his work as an ongoing pursuit of inspiration he calls the Muse.

Chelsea's shirts will now display the Circle and USDC crypto brand

Circle, the stablecoin issuer behind USDC, signed a front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Chelsea, the English Premier League club, putting its digital dollar-tied token on the team's shirts for the 2026-27 season.

The USDC logo will appear on the men's, women's and academy shirts. Circle's chief executive, Jeremy Allaire, said the arrangement links the company with a global sports community sharing its borderless vision.

USDC is a type of stablecoin, a form of digital money built to hold steady at one U.S. dollar in value.

US banks form alliance to build a shared blockchain network

Thirty-nine state bankers associations have created the BankChain Alliance, a coalition working to build a blockchain network owned and run by banks.

The network would let community and regional banks handle tokenized deposits, digital tokens that represent bank funds, along with stablecoins and automated payment settlement.

Organizers have not picked a technology provider or disclosed which blockchain the network will run on, but the network is expected to launch in 2027 and operate within current banking regulations.

Florida Bankers Association President and CEO Kathy Kraninger, the alliance's interim chair, said in a statement that the goal is to give banks of every size modern digital tools while keeping service secure for customers in rural, urban and regional communities nationwide.

Charles Schwab plans to add Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to its crypto platform

Charles Schwab will add three established cryptocurrencies — Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink — to its Schwab Crypto platform in the coming months, the brokerage announced Thursday, according to The Block.

Schwab launched Bitcoin and Ethereum trading in May and has grown into a major player in brokerage services.

Joe Vietri, Head of Digital Assets at Charles Schwab, reportedly said the expansion gives clients more choices for building a cryptocurrency mix alongside their existing investing and banking experience at Schwab.
